The liver reduction diet is a lot like the Atkins diet. Lots of lean meat and colorful veggies. Just don't eat anything white...bread, taters, pasta, etc. Steak and salad, shrimp and salad, salad and salad...

Congrats Sweetie!! I am 5 years out and only changed a little.... But I really thought you would be tooting because Goodwill is having their 50% off day this Sat!! lol We HAVE to get the old gang together again soon

Topic: Liver Reduction Diet
I am begining my Bariatric Sugery Journey. I met with my surgeon Monday and I was put on a Liver Reduction Diet. I have been on this for almost 3 days now and my head is whirling! The nutrionist out at Clarian Bariatrics handed me a bunch of papers of what I can and cannot have but, there is no meal structure? no ideas? I never realized how much bread, beans, and potatoes were in my diet. Now I can have none. Has anyone been on this diet? Does anyone have any meal plans or suggestions, recipes? HELP! I need to loose 30lbs before I can even think of a surgery date and already I am feeling so defeated! thanks so much.

A place to come and ask questions...share your surgery stories...everyone in Indiana is welcome even if your just checking out info about the many surgeries...or hoping to have surgery...or you have a date...or you have already had surgery.
If you know of any support groups in your area please post them on our topics page...tell your stories...share your fears...how its affected your family...but most of all find friendship and acceptance in our group.

Hi everyone,
Just got all of my paperwork sent into Aetna for the third time, this time after the six month program at my surgeons office. I am hoping for the best. Any other Restart Center people out there? Anyone else have surgery approved via Aetna?
