I enjoyed it, too and hope there will be another one close again soon. I'd love to go out West, but doubt it will be in our budget. The fashion show was awesome. The marriage proposal and Mary Ann... made me tear up and so did so many folks who have done so incredibly well!

I second that! We had a blast. Met a lot of people and heard some amazing stories.
Hanging around with the doctor's from Big Medicine, Chef Dave, the OH staff, all the vendors and my fellow WLS friends was the best!!!
Would be great to have another conference in the Midwest next year. There is one coming up in November in Houston Texas if anyone can get there I recommend attending.
Have a great day~

My experience with St Vincents has been wonderful. They treated me so well when I was in for my RNY in Jan and again for my Gall Bladder in May.
Topic: Hew here- a couple questions
I'm looking for information on two hospitals in the Indianapolis area, specificly St. Francis and St. Vincent. I'm considering VSG, and I'm looking to see what kind of personal experiences (good and bad!) anyone has had with these two hospitals, their physicians, and this procedure. I did speak with someone (just insurance department) from St. Francis this morning, but have not had a chance to talk to anyone from St. Vincent yet. It was just a jump-start phone call regarding my insurance policy and the criteria I'd need to meet.
I'm just trying to gather as much information as I can.

This surgery stuff is not always fun, not always easy but I have heard very few say it wasn't worth it!! I am so glad I had my RNY!!
Life will kick you in the butt a few times thru the recovery process.. expect it and deal with it and it will blow over quickly..
SIP SIP SIP.. do not let yourself dehydrate!
You will be tired. expect it.. slowly you will rebuild your energy level and when it takes off again! whew!! You wont believe it!
If you can keep from it NEVER test yourself to see IF you will dump on something sweet... If you do you will hate the dumping.. and if you dont dump.. it is real hard to say no to the sweets the second and third and 100th time after that.
Have fun, enjoy the journey and get ready for the new and improved YOU!!
