There are support groups here.  Most of them are closed meetings for their patients only.  There is  one support group that meets about once a month on Wed. evenings.,  I don't have the details, but I know there are other support group members who use this site who will know.  St. Mary's program can also give you the contact name for this group.

Topic: Evansville question
Hi,

I will be moving to Evansville in Nov or Dec.  I had LapBand done in Nov of 2007 and I am no where near my goal.  I noticed that Evansville only has 2 doctors that do LapBand.  How will this work?  Can I get copies of my files transferred?  Is there a support system?  That is a lot of my problem now, I live about 2 hours away from where my surgery was done and can't make it to the support groups.

I would really appreciate any advice anyone can give me.

Thanks and I hope to get to know some of you soon.

Congratulations Lois,
I remember reading your posts when I was a new post op. I was wondering about you the other day. I am glad you back surgery has helped your quality of life. I am sorry you have a Mr Odie though.  I admired you for being in a size 6 when I was a new post op. I am also down to a full fledged size 6 all the time and some times am into a size 4. I so want to be a size 4 all the time.but beggars can't be choosers, I just need to reflect on where I came from a size 22-24 most all the time and could hardly walk a city block without being winded, now walking 5K without a problem. I am so happy for your 5 year surgiversary. Congratulations.!!!!

My DH and I are also going to attend. We are not staying at the hotel where it is being held though. I hope I get a lot of good info and knowledge from this. I am just over 3 years and I find that my head tells me I need to lose more weight and my family says, YOU ARE THIN ENOUGH, I do feel I struggle every day with my eating and it takes great fortitude and will power to not overeat beyond control.  But from everything I have learned it  will always be that way. NO BRAIN Surgery was performed.

Leah, Have you tried Dr. Jackson in Columbus? He did mine. Just make sure you have pictures and write down everything you do for your infection and how things don't work. We have Anthem we did not have a problem. He did a great job for me. It has been almost 2 years now. We need to meet sometime for lunch or something. Hope you are doing well.

just got ok'd to have the stomach skin removal. My bariatric surgeon says I must have a second opinion.   I have Anthem insurance thru the State of Indiana. The top tier plan.  Anyone know of a plastic surgeon that will take that insurance. I am so sick of the infected skin and carrying baby wipes with me everywhere.
I ve missed everyone.
Any help will be appreciated
Blessings to you all, Leah

How did the surgery go Peggy?

I am only one, But still, I am one.  I cannot do everything, but still I can do something.  And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do
the something that I can do.
