I went to a class at St Vincents in Carmel before my WLS, but it was not called this. Probably the same class though. It was interesting and informative. I got all sorts of papers with info for after WLS lifestyle and vitamin, and eating issues, so I made a "Bible" . I still use it constantly to remind me of certain things. Congratulations on starting the journey to good health!

Topic: Lifestyle Discovery Class???
August 25th I have to attend a 2 hour Lifestyle Discovery Class in Carmel Indiana before I can be schedualed for WLS. Has anyone ever been to this class? What can I expect?

We've had some discussions; we can only get the clothing exchange room for one day, not two, so we have decided that we cannot hold one in Cincinnati this time. It's too difficult to try to coordinate it only for Saturday, which is the day we could have the room. It does not work with the early morning schedule we already have! Sorry to those hoping for one.
On the brighter side, we do have four great main stage speakers in Dr. Davis, Mary Jo Rapini, Dr. Connie Stapleton and Chef Dave, all with new messages this year. Breakouts will consist of six additional speakers, equally as informative and inspirational. Dr. Sayeg will be providing free onsite plastic surgery consultations in addition to speaking, and we have Dr. Trace Curry, Annessa Chumbley, Yvonne McCarthy and Terri Black. One more speaker is yet to confirm. During both Friday and Saturday, we will have question and answer sessions for you, so ask away! Be sure to get your friends together for the photo booth in the exhibit room...unlimited free photos from 3 pm to 10 pm! This is going to be so much fun!

im currently going through IU Surgical Weight Management Center to get my Lap Band. If approved by anthem, my Surgeon will be Dr. Gomez. I go Thursday for my pre op testing.

Hi Kerry Jean, with all you have gone through I cannot be surpised you found an ulcer! How are you doing now? Things better? The medication I am taking has made a big difference. I am scheduled to go back 8/16 for them to take another look, I have been leaving messages for over a week to try to change the date to 8/27 in the am so I can have a driver. No call back yet. That gets pretty frustrating. If they are understaffed then I think they really could afford to hire another person to help Jayma out in scheduling.

Dr Inman did my RNY 6 years ago and the only weight I have put back on is the weight I am gaining having a baby. She is wonderful! I love that woman!
