Well it's back in the saddle...to work and school and my crazy schedule.  I'm doing good though except for being tired.   How are things progressing with you???  Any news on a date???

Sorry I've not updated in the last week.  Well I went back to work on Monday, and school too.  The first couple of days took a toll on me, as my job is all on my feet and all moving with no sit down time at all.  Then school after an entire day at work=EXHAUSTED! Now that I'm mushy foods and actually taking in some calories, I put on 2 lbs out of the 20 I lost.  I weighed today and the 2 lbs are off again....so I'm still at a total of 20 lbs lost.  But 20 lbs in two weeks....hey I can definitely live with that!  My biggest challenge right now is finding the time to exercise between work and school.  I've been so tired between the two that I've just not done much else.  I guess I'm just really going to have to discipline myself a bit more and FIND the time!! I go in for my first fill the day before Thanksgiving.  This is good, because now that the swelling from the surgery is gone, I'm experiencing some real hunger.  And because there isn't alot of restriction now, I can eat so have to be careful not to overdo it.  Anyway....looks as if my Thanksgiving feast will be broth and jello...LOL....that's one way to prevent being bad over the holiday!

I emailed you and have not heard from you in a while.   I am glad that you got your lapband finally!  Congrats on the weight loss as well.  It feels so good when you can get a result when you get on the scales.     Email me or call me....   Kimberly

I really do not know.  I do not have any trouble a lot of the time but probably three to four times a week I will vomit.  Sometimes I know it is because I was eating to fast or not chewing good enough but other times it just seems to happen.  I will get a pain in my chest and will vomit.

It will be here before you know it. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. Good luck and see you on the other side. Enjoy the ride, it is the time of your life.

do you know what was making you vomit so much? Over eating? eating too fast? eating too big of bites? Or was it band-related, like the band was in the wrong place or too tight?

Does anyone have any suggestions to keep from vomiting.  I'm 6 months out and do not have any fill at this time as it was removed because I was vomiting too much.

Hi.  I am sorry this has been such a rough road for you.  I am lucky, I got approved through Triwest, but my mother has not been so lucky.  There is a problem with Medicare(she's 57) paying our surgeons office for the services....so until this is worked out, the surgeons office will no longer perform Medicare surgeries.  Go figure.  She is really upset, and did a bunch of the tests needed to be prequalified, and now.....nothing...postponed indefinitely.  Different situation than yours, but a bummer all the same. Regarding your Dr:  Mine was not too pleased with my decision, but I approached it as "I am deciding to do this for me, and I am not asking for your approval....but only for your support."  I asked that my doc provide a letter simply stating my comorbidities, and what she did to treat those conditions.......I didn't ask for more, and luckily it was enough to get approved.   I also made sure she knew I had researched extensively, and knew what to expect, and how this was going to completely change my life.   Honestly, if this Dr. will not support your right to choose for yourself, then perhaps it would be better to move on.   Good luck, and hang in there.
