Have you checked out the Duodenal Switch surgery? I live in Emporia and decided to make a 4 hr drive up to Omaha Nebraska, to have my surgery done by Dr Gary Anthone.

Just click on the forums tab at the top of the page and click on the duodenal switch. Or you could go to www.duodenalswitch.com and get all kinds of information about it. Good Luck

Hi to everyone:
This board doesn't seem to get a lot of hits compared to the other boards but since it is the Kansas board I thought I would send out a question. I am in the pre-op stages waiting for insurance approval to have Lap-Band surgery at Tallgrass with Dr. Hamilton. Was just wondering if anyone else has had surgery with this doctor and what your thoughts were.
Thanks for any info. Hollie

Howdy Neighbor! I live in Hutch! As for surgeons in this area, I don't know. I had to have surgery in Columbia, MO due to insurance requirements. Anyway, a friend had surgery last year with a dr in the Tallgrass group in Topeka, but I know there are some surgeons in Wichita, so maybe the folks in Wichita can fill you in. As for support group, someone was trying to get one started in Wichita, but I have not heard. I also was told there is one here, but cannot find it yet! I would love to go! I will let you know if I find it! Take care, and welcome to the neighborhood! LaNeta
