Topic: RE: In alot of pain!!!
Thanks.....I had RNY and yes, I called Dr Dort during the day and they suggested a suppository. It didn't help with the pain. So about 10pm I called back and the Dr on call said I should go to the ER. They were very good there. Started an IV right away and gave me some WONDERFUL pain meds. It really helped. The Loritab I have at home just doesn’t cut it. I guess this too shall pass!!!

Oh Crys, I'm sorry to hear about your trip to the ER. Where you able to speak to Dr. Dort about it? I can't remember if you were having RNY or LapBand?

Topic: In alot of pain!!!
I did well in the hospital and was fine the first day home. (Wednesday) Thurs night I woke up with horrible pain in my lower right abdomen. Last night my husband took me to the ER where I was given a Cat Scan. They thought it might be my appendix. After all the tests were done they decided it was fluid build up from the massive bruising from the shots I was given. Did anyone else have any similar problems?
Topic: RE: Dr Hoen and Shawnee Mission
Jeanne, I am actually going to have RNY done, but I can tell you that my insurance approval came at the very end of May and I have completed a good number of my pre-op appointments and will have my first appointment with Dr. Hoehn on Monday.
Topic: Dr Hoen and Shawnee Mission
Just looking into Lap Band with Dr. Hoehn and Shawnee Misison......and I'm curious as to the average time it has taken from the Seminar to actual surgery for those of you that have gone through the process.
I've gone from the entire program at Solutions for Life just to receive a hospital denial from Cigna...to LivLite at Junction City. However, I'm a bit hesitant about LivLite for the simple fact that the surgeon is pretty new at doing the lap band, and the inexperience really has me apprehensive!
I have all the medical requirements for insurance done, but Dr. Hoehn's office did tell me that they would require me to redo my psych and nut eval throught their people. Am just wondering how long it has taken most of you to get through the red tape, appointments, etc.
Thanks!
Jeanne

It's me again. I ate at Strouds every year around Christmas. LOVED their food! I ate there last year and got the flu. Now, luckily, I can't stand the thought of eating there! I guess that's one way of giving something you love up!
