Greetings! I also have BCBS of KS and no coverage for WLS. Otherwise, I am pretty happy with the plan. I am saving and hoping to have surgery early next year. I am new to all this and really in the research mode. Lots of good info. here on OH though I wonder about the rates of the various complications I read about. Some folks seem to sail through with no problems while others seem to have a really tough time. I know it takes work, and I am willing to work, but I really need to know if WLS is a long-term answer. I've lost hundreds of pounds over the years only to gain it all back, and I just can't face that again! If I were able to change my behavior permanently on my own, I wouldn't have this yo-yo problem. That's why I'm considering the Lap-Band-- appears to be an ever-present friend/reminder to keep me in line! Currently considering Tallgrass in Topeka and another place in KC area (can't think of the name at the moment). What do y'all think?
