Topic: RE: MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!
Dr. Steeb was my surgeon and yes I have also heard that his license has been suspended. He was supposed to return in February but has not come back yet. In my opinion,  he is an awesome  Dr. I stll go to the clinic because I see a plastic surgeon there and Dr. Steeb is stll not back.

Dr. Steeb lost his license and I was sorry to hear that but I I am glad I was able to have my sleeve done with him before he lost it. I thought he was an excellent Dr. I had no problems with hime at all. He did the sleeve and removed my gallbladder at the same time.

Topic: RE: Hi guys!
I am doing wonderful.  God is great and with a lot of prayer, I have adjusted decently to a whole new way of life.  I used to wonder why all individuals who are overweight didn't consider the surgery.  Now, I would never encourage surgery without encouraging some deep soul searching and emotional planning beforehand.  My surgery has been about everything but the food.  Good thing I had perspective on food, because I have been putting out emotional fires since the weight started melting off.  Somedays some emotional event will still catch me by surprise.  I am better prepared for them, but they always lurk around the corner.  Plastics have helped to quiet some demons.  I now feel like I look "normal".  That is a start to really understanding who I am.  There are no truer words for me in describing my WLS experience - it is not sprint, but instead a journey!

I hope you are well - catch me up.  What have you been up to?

Topic: RE: Anybody use Dr. Borland in New Iberia?
I had my surgery May 12, 2010 with Dr. Borland. I actually considered going to Dr. Thomas Lavin in Slidell, but he was much more expensive than Borland and I did self pay, so obviously that mattered to me.

As far as he professionalism and bedside manners..Dr. Borland is incredible. He makes me feel very comfortable when I have check ups. He is humorous without being off topic. He is very experienced which is obviously incredibly comforting. To date, I have lost 75lbs!!

If I had to rate him, I would definitely give him a 10 out of 10!!!
