Caeli's Exercise & Self-Care Check In (Wed)
I was a semi-slug on Wed, I walked on my treadmill for 15 minutes, but that's better than my slug day of no exercise on Tuesday!
Today, Thurs, my tummy is very unhappy. My DH is home feeling sick today with the possible beginnings of a cold, and I woke up with a stuffy nose and thought "oh no! he's been breathing icky viruses at me all night!" Soooo, brilliant chick that I am, I get up and go take a Vitamin C and a Zinc tab. (I take the Vit C everyday), swollow them both with a dixie cup of water and go back to bed for an hour or so. Well, taking a very acidic Vit C and a Zinc on an empty stomach may not be the best option! I had heartburn, something I never get, and when I got up an hour later, and thought, "ooooh, maybe I should take the rest of my usual vitamins (the chewy Viactiv Multi and Calciums) and it will help settle my tummy, but then I realized I wasn't going to be taking anything! I tossed up my toenails! Icky!
Of course once I did that, I felt much better. Had a half a piece of bread before I took Kid 1 to school, then another half a slice before I took Kid 2 to school, which helped to suck up all those angry acids.
I have to assume it was just the combo of the two on an empty stomach with nearly no water that set me off. I usually take 2 Viactiv Multis, 2 Viactiv Calciums, a Vit C, 2 flax seed oil, and a magnesium every morning.
Anyway, back to exercise, I think I'll take the morning off and get back to it tomorrow.
