Okay so I'm being banded on May 22nd I'm curious as to how many sizes I'll lose.  I've got 3 big events coming up -  I'm a bridesmaid on September 22nd, cousins wedding on November 17th and Puerto Vallarta on December 14th. My pole is as follows: How many sizes were you down at 2 month mark? How many sizes " 4 month mark? How many sizes " 6 month mark? How many sizes " 7 month mark? I'm just fantasizing right now....help me out folks.

Well, first of all, I would strongly suggest not buying anything quite yet! Not only did my size change, but my body shape changed. My thighs and butt used to be my problem areas, now my abs are. So styles that looked okay then, don't look good now and vica versa. Ok...my records stink, so all I can say is 4 mos. post op I was down from a size 24 to an 18 (down 50 lbs.) Now at 7 mos. post op I wear a L or a 14 in most items (down 70 lbs.) It's really going to vary person to person because starting weight (mine was 249 lbs.) is different and everyone's rate of loss is different. It would be fairly safe to assume a weight  loss of 1.5 lbs. per week though (as long as you plan on monitoring your diet and exercising).   Hope this helps.  Laurie

Laurie---same thing has happened to me; problem areas have reversed themselves---now it's my stomach that I have probs with instead of my tush/hips/thighs----I wonder why this is?  I was going to guess age, but you're younger than me (40).

I think it might be due to loss of elasticity in the skin in certain areas...I had three children in 4 years and I was 50-100 lbs. overweight for a decade....I didn't have a fighting chance LOL Oh well, I'll take it, and when it's all said and done, I'll help nature along with a tiny procedure to "fix" everything up :)

I have no idea!  I started at 30 (or super/painfully tight 28)... 4x usually. I am in size XL or 16/18 Misses.  That was after losing 140-145 pounds. My loss was pretty even over the months with the weight lifting and running.  It was a gradual yet fairly steady melting!
