Fat Discrimination

Wow!  Thanks!  I spent most of my life feeling that I was repulsive to people because of my weight.  I guess this is the only place I would ever admit that.  The only times I felt semi-normal looking was the few times I lost massive amounts of weight.  Of course that only lasted about a day and a half!  Anyway, thanks so much for the moral booster!

You know having a daughter with Tourettes has taught me that "leppers" come in all shapes and sizes, it is so sad.  I try to hug them all.  I did not get my results today.  I go in at 3pm tomorrow unless he decides to call me in the morning (wouldn't that be nice?).  Have a great evening.

You are so right!  I once worked for a year with developmentally disabled young people, many who were artistic and low functioning, and they respond to love and caring.  They have feelings too! Please let us know how things go.  I for one care and will be praying for you. Ron

Nope, I go in at 3 pm.  The results are there, but the medical assitant wouldn't give them to me so I have been going insane all day today.  Trying to calm down now...thinking of taking my meds early tonight and just going to bed so I stop freaking out about all this.  Thank you so much for your support and love!!!

I have been very lucky in my life, and haven't experienced fat discrimination to my knowledge.  I could just be oblivious to mean people tho.
Be careful, or you may find yourself in my novel...

That has not been my reality.  I spend all of my time being a black woman in corporate America.  My skillset is challenged all the time because of the color of my skin and sometimes because I'm a woman.   If I was ever discriminated against because of my weight, I did not realize it.

I agree with you - in the few "professional" jobs I have applied for, if I had noticed discrimination, I never felt it was because of my weight but for the color of my skin or my gender.
