Good morning all my bandster friends.  I don't know if you guys have noticed my absence in the last month but June was difficult for me.  Still searching for that ever elusive restriction...I have recommitted myself, reassessed my goals and I'm making a point to post and participate here daily.  I want to say thanks to everyone for the info, advice and support.  I love you guys!!!  This board is a lifesaver for me.   That said I love the info gathering posts so.... Just curious..... What kind of band do you have? 10cc AP band How much saline is in your band?  6cc How many fills did it take to get you there?  4 How is your restriction level? very slight - can still eat anything as quickly as I want, no excess chewing required....just eat smaller portions....hopefully the next fill will do the trick. Do you have any problem foods?  nope Have you ever been stuck, slimed, pb'd etc?  Thankfully NO and not looking forward to it happening.

First, let me say from experience, when you are struggling is when you need to be on this board every day. I have a 4cc band, currently with perfect restriction at 3cc. I actually had went too far with fills, up to 3.5, was too tight for 3 months(dr. had trouble accessing my port-finally it worked), so it was about 4 fills and one un-fill to get to this sweet spot. I have problem foods, chicken, untoasted bread, stringy vegetables (asparagus comes to mind) french fries, and if I'm stressed, anything will get stuck. I've been stuck so many times I can't count. That 3 months I was too tight, I was stuck nearly every meal. If it's bad, it can be very painful, so I've learned to take it slow, test the first bite and take it real easy.

How much saline is in your band?  6cc

How many fills did it take to get you there?  3

How is your restriction level? It's good.  I'm very tight in the morning and a little bit looser than I'd like to be in the evening, but overall I have good restriction and I'm losing steadily
Do you have any problem foods?  Yes.  Bread, pasta, rice, and reheated meat.

Have you ever been stuck, slimed, pb'd etc?  Unfortunately yes to all three.  One stuck episode,  two PB episodes and multiple sliming episodes -- but I'm learning!

What kind of band do you have? 10cm / 4cc Inamed placed  6/5/08 (one month anniversary)

How much saline is in your band?  1 cc placed during surgery

How many fills did it take to get you there?  not there yet (sweet spot)

How is your restriction level? Was great until about 1 week ago.  I guess the swelling from surgery has gone down.  Have been able to eat everything I've tried so far.  I've been really picky.  I started regular food a few days ago.  Haven't found any problems (hamburger patty w/ sauce, grilled chicken salad, fritos corn chips (haven't tried bread...not going to.  Haven't tried eggs... will but still scared to right now.) Scheduled for first post op fill Aug. 5th.
Do you have any problem foods?  nope

Have you ever been stuck, slimed, pb'd etc?  Not yet. I hope never.  I chew until it is soup like trying to prevent it.  Use timer between bites also trying to prevent it.  I say I'm in bandster training (my new olympic event).

What kind of band do you have? 4-cc band

How much saline is in your band? 4.2 cc's

How many fills did it take to get you there? 14 (I began to have restriction at 3.8 cc's with my 8th fill.)

How is your restriction level? It's good. I'm very tight in the morning but able to eat a small amount for lunch and a greater amount for dinner.

Do you have any problem foods? Not really. I've been able to eat everything as long as I'm careful--and I'm not stressed. The one food that I've had more problems with than any other is pasta, but I don't always have problems with it.

Have you ever been stuck, slimed, pb'd etc? I've had more episodes than I can count. But they happen very infrequently, and I try to be very carefeul to take small bites and chew forever.

I have 10 cc AP Band I have 5 cc's in my band. I have had 3 fills. My restriction level is pretty good. But my band is fickle. Somedays my restriction is very tight and other days I can eat more than normal.

I cannot eat soft bread. I also have problems with dry chicken and reheated chicken. I have to chew chew chew.

I have been stuck about 3 times. It wasn't bad but not a good feeling. I got stuck on eating chicken too fast, Pizza, and a hamburger.  (I was on vacation when I ate the slice of pizza and the burger) I learned my lesson.  I have never slimed or vomited.
