Waiting for my date

Good Morning All, I have had my appointment with Dr Trieu and now I am waiting for the office to call with my surgery date.  I should hear within a week.  The bad news is it will not be until April.  He is already booked for the entire month of March.  This waiting has felt like it has been going on forever with having gotten my approval in December.  Work priorities did not allow for me to be out of work in January or February so I had to wait until March and now it will be April. Sorry for the venting.  I will have to look at it this way.  The timing will happen when it is ment to happen and that gives me an extra 4 weeks to loose even more weight prior to surgery. Good morning to you, I know it has only been a few months for me, but isn't it funny, how when we decide we're gonna do this we are just "ready" now!  lets go!  we could have been overweight all our lives, but we want to loose NOW!!!  I've been watching the girls go in for their surgeries and I kept saying, "be patient, you'll be soon"  ... and now, a few more are waiting for their dates, I'm still maybe/hopfully a month away also,  was hoping it would probably be the first few weeks in April, but we have tickets and hotel room booked for the Red Sox on the 9 & 10th.  I certainly don't want to go there post op, on clear liquids, so I guess it will have to be the next week, at least.  That way I can have my last Hurra!!  HOpe you don't have long to wait, does you dr. have a waiting list, haha, like anyone would cancel after all this work.   Best of Luck, maybe we can be close in our dates.  Cheryl

Hi, Hopefully you will get the call soon, and at least then you will have a date to shoot for and the uncertainty, which I think is the worse part will be over. Best wishes!!!!!

I know how frustrating it is...but just think...this is it.  After this loooooong journey the last thing you need is a date!  The time is finally here!  Let us know as soon as you find out!

I can certainly understand your disappointment, this happened to me as well. You will however be amazed at how fast the time goes once you get your date. Candace

hang in there. the time will fly by. you will have all kinds of things to do to get ready like clean the whole house and do some shopping. the frustrating thing for me was not having the date. once i had that i settled down and then reality hit. omg i'm having surgery! it will happen when it's meant to be. enjoy the ride. you'll be a loser soon!
