Post Op Mtg and checking in
Hi ladies! I had friends come down to visit us for a long weekend so I haven't been on at all. I was going through withdrawals from it too!
So I am not sure if Summer posted after the post-op mtg or not, but I sat next to her and it was a great meeting. So nice to meet people that you talk to on here. She is a little spitfire with lots of energy...you can just tell. And I also met Kelly who is still pre-op. We had lots of laughs about even though we may be smaller someday and could fit into old saved clothes...it probably wouldn't be the best idea with some of the styles (mc hammer pants, puffy sleeved leather jackets etc). We laughed a lot.
I must be losing inches because the scale still isn't moving. One pound this week....that's it. I am hoping that next week the numbers are better. I must be a slooooow loser. But I am doing everything I am supposed to so I know it'll be fine.
We were out and about with friends this weekend and I had my first experiences of ordering something not cooked at home. At dunkin donuts I got a classic egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant and ate th egg out of the middle (well, 3/4ths of it). I got a chili at Wendy's and have had 3 meals out of it ha ha. No problems though.
I hope you all had great weekends!
hey tanya, welcome back, haha, I can imagine the withdrawals. my husband is getting jealous, I think he thinks I'm talking to another man. great to see you ordered out with no problems, that is encouraging. Can't wait to go to post op meetings and we can all meet and be together. should we all run to each other slow motion like Bo Derek in 10...(damn, wish I looked like her)... enjoy the rest of your weekend.
I am getting in around 500-600 calories a day now. I am trying to get as much protein from food as possible. I still am supplementing with a drink though. I am getting between 65-75 grams a day. Maybe it is my fluids. I have been on the low end (48-56). I can totally have more...I just haven't. I will go a few hours and then have some.
Hopefully my body is just adjusting.
Hope you can come to the May mtg.
my scale isn't moving much either. i think 1 pound this week and i think it was 3 last week. i'm getting min. 48 oz. fluids and 60 grams protein. i know it's on the low end. i feel pretty good and my clothes are falling off. i've already cleaned out 2 garbage bags full. i still feel weak sometimes and still want to sleep a lot. i know in time it will get better. glad to hear you are going well. i ordered out at mcdonald's last night. i got the grilled wrap and ate the chicken and some cheese. well some of it anyway. no way i could eat the whole piece of chicken and no way could i even think about the wrap. i was happy with the little i kept down. always go for the protein first.
I actually hadn't posted yet - I've been a bit MIA lately .... life is busy on all fronts! :)
Are you calling ME a "little spitfire"? HAHAHA That's too funny! I DO have a ton more energy than I used to ... that's for sure. Still not sure there's much "little" about me .. .but I'm getting there! :) For the record, I'm firmly AGAINST wearing hammer pants! LOL
I had a blast meeting you too "in real life" ! :)
I hope other folks can join us next time. It's fun! :)
I've been MIA at the post-op meetings lately as, with my schedule at Hannaford I tend to close the Bakery most times and, by the time I do, all I want to do is go HOME! I've been given a total 0f 31 hours this week because of Easter and, from what I have heard, it tends to get hectic. We'll wait and see.
I started wearing my pedometer to work just to get an idea of exactly how much walking I DO do and was amazed to find that I average 13,000 plus steps a day when I work. No wonder I find myself in size 8 -10 now!
The scale is at a stand still at the moment but, from where I sit, I can't complain.
Anne
