I got a date for my surgery consult!

Oh my gosh! I meet with Dr. Huang on May 27th! Whoulda thunk? Especially after I was told yesterday to expect September or October! This means a possible surgery date in July which was my IDEAL time frame all along. The only disappointment is that it isn't Toder, but I have been told that Huang is an excellent surgeon though his specialty is oncology. I can deal with that. Yay yay yay! And for those of you who did no****ch my vlog, I have lost 13 pounds since I last met with the nutritionist. Dayna was very happy with me, thus my incessant need for approval has been met this week! LOL

Woo HOO  wtg    Terri.   I am so happy for you. Yes i have heard good things about  Dr Huang.   More and more of his  patients have been coming to  support group since he  started picking up some surgeries to help dr. toder out.   she is good too and so is dr clough but  i can understand why you  wouldnt want open  but for lots of people who have had surgeries before  open is the only way to go. Woo Hoo!!! Jumping and dancing around for ya. That is awesome news. Keep up the good work every little bit you can lose ahead of time helps your recovery. I am very happy for you.

I love Dr. Huang!!!!!!!!!!! He did my surgery and 2 bowel obstruction surgeries since my bypass.  He is so caring and an excellent doctor.  I have had alot of complications but it is not due to his surgical skills.  I just happen to be that 1 or 2 percent of RNY patients who develop these complications, lucky me huh?   Good news 145 pounds lost in 9 months, I couldn't be happier with my results!! my surgery date was about 8 weeks after consult as well so it sounds good for you! Maryellen,,,,, still haven't been able to get a pic up of me yet,  I am so bad with the computer and don't get online that much,  but oh well I am still here guys and lur****assionally, you are all doing so well, and the support has really picked up on the board than when I first came here. continued good luck to you all again, Maryellen

Yay! Thanks for letting me know. I had been counting on having Toder, but I am really fine with Huang especially the more I hear about him.
