I got a date for my surgery consult!
Dr. Huang is very nice. One thing though...he is very focused. He didn't laugh at either of my jokes...I didn't dare try a third one. Maybe my jokes weren't funny? He could at least smiled...oh well.
He first explained the surgery and its risks. Then he spoke of what to expect after the surgery. It was all very rehearsed...I wish he could have tried to sound interesting. He's said it many times and we've heard it several times so I do understand it's difficult to keep it fresh. I work very hard to do that when I present to my clients.
Then he went over what Dayna and Bryan had to say about me.
He frequently pause to ask if I had any questions.
The last thing he did was to take a look at my stomach. He felt it and looked to see where my scar was from a prior surgery.
When I left the examining room and went to the counter I was given papers to have my blood work done. I did that before leaving the hospital that day but you can do it at any hospital...if you prefer to have it done at a hospital near your home.
That very same day my paperwork was submitted to my insurance company.
Oh...one more thing. Be prepared to pay your co-pay. This was the first time in this program I was required to pay at the time of the appointment.
Terri if you have any questions feel free to ask me.
