Well now that you say that no, I wasn't told to take prevacid, but I do remember they gave us some in the hospital by  iv I think.  Am I right in guessing you have some reflux or heartburn?  I have not taken anything because I do not believe prevacid comes in liquid form and did not think we could do pills at this time.

Hi, I think all the RNYers have to take it for 5 months..it dissolves so isn't even chewed...given that scrip during pre-op visit.Actigal, too, for when you can start taking pills-2 weeks out.

It was magic when she realized who she had become...

I wouldn't think that would be a requirement for Lap band. If you weren't given a script for it you must be ok without it.

i take it and actigal as well. we have to take it for six months after surgery as a preventive. the actigal is for the gall bladder and i believe the previcid it to prevent ulcers. it wouldn't hurt to call him and ask about it.

when we lose weight quickly it can be taxing on our gall bladder so that's why we have to take actigal.
