I really like her Vlogs. She is very informed and if you really think about what she has to say it makes a lot of sense. Myself I can not eat before 11:00 or I feel horrid all day. So I get most of my fluids in for the day before noon. I will have a protein shake in the am after my decaf tea of coffee which ever I feel like that morning. bout 11: I will have an omelet then I will have a really light meal at dinner time usually a cheese stick and 1/2 cup of the South Beach Diet  Vanilla Almond Crunch. They sell that at Hanneford btw I love it. It has for the 1/2 cup 4 gms of protein and fiber and 90 calories So 12 protein and 170 calories for my night snack meal.

I love her!!  Subscribed to her youtube account. Dr. Loggins and Corrine agree with her that there is no max of absorbtion as they recommended I do the "car oil" protein shots.  That is how awful they taste!!!  I didn't know your body absorbs best before a workout and in the morning.  Like Kathy I don't eat before lunch because then I feel sick the rest of the day.  I will go back to protein in my coffee though to get it in early.  Also, I've found that if I mix those nasty shots in jello the taste is not at all noticable so if eat one of those as an afternoon snack on my way to ride that would be better than eating it with my lunch or as an evening snack.  Got a lot of good information from her in that brief 10 minute vlog. Thank you Cheryl!!!! ***BTW I saw a flock of you all flying in Oxford on Friday on my way to work and it made my day!!!

Hi Cheryl. Seems I'm always the odd one out. Just posting the link doesn't do a thing for me since I don't do the you tube thing so possibly you could fill me in?   Thank you.

I am not a memeber either, but even if you click on the link you can't get it.  It is way too long to explain, but mainly: there has been stories that your body will only take in so much portein in one shake. like some people will mix 2 scoops of protein in one drink.  so she explains that is not true, that your boby will take in what it needs, and your body will also absorb, more in am and before a workout.  try again it is worth you listening to, she is very well informed and well spoken.  Not like me ! haha........ good luck

Thank you for telling me about it Cheryl.  That's very interesting.  I don't remember my nutritionist  saying anything about what the max protein at a time is.  I should go back through my binder and read it again.  Hmm...I don't remember reading anything in any of my books either but I will check. Also it's not a matter of being a member of youtube.  I have a personal reason for not visiting that site.

I've heard both sides of the protein absorption thingy and I figure that since I am still drinking so slow that my body is probably doing ok absorbing what it needs.  (HOPEFULLY!)  Good info though!  Ruth
