this vlog is of a woman dumping.  I am not showeing this cause I'm trying to prove a point, only because I had never seen it and thought many of you might not have either.  I certainly didn't think dumping was this bad.  I want all my friends to be aware and careful and that is why I am sharing this. please do no****ch if your easily disturbed or faint at heart.  Let me know what you think about this, and for those old timers if this is what you've experienced.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjWhqo2u5-o&feature=related

Been there and it's not fun at all!!!  Once you experience it you do everything in your power to not experience it ever again.  It has happened to me 3 times and each time is just as bad or worse.  Foamies, pain, sometimes vomiting, diarhea, pain, racing heart, shakes, pain and more pain.  I had one occasion lasted for almost 2 hours that was excrutiating.  The other 2 were about an hour.  It feels like it's a lifetime.  I've had foamies on other occasions but it's nothing like a full blown dump.  I stay away from more than 9g of sugar, pasta, potatoes, tomatoes, most fresh fruit especially with skin, bread, rice, milk, raw vegtables and beef because those things have either caused dumping or foamies.  I learned the hard way and it was not a fun learning experience.  I'm still learning.

Ok Why would anyone even think of eating 4 oreo cookies after bypass surgery?? I have almost felt that badly getting food stuck too though and It wasn't dumping just I ate to fast and didn't chew well enough mine was lots of pain.  But I will never intentionally eat that much sugar what was she thinking? Sorry but I did not go through this surgery to go back to eating what I did before. Makes me never want to eat out just in case you know. I suppose you just really need to listen to your body and what it is telling you.

you know I'd be willing to bed she isn't going to eat 4 oreo cookies again???  Boy, it would be enough to make me aware and careful.  I really believe this is something they should share in the pre op video, people need to be aware,  we are all addicts and probably at one time or another going in for a cookie.  I'm happy I found it for all you guys, I thought it was bad but interesting and informative.

I'm with Kathy on this one!  Why would someone go back to eating what got us here in the first place, especially knowing that all that sugar is PROBABLY going to make you sick!  I sure haven't done all this just to go back to what I was able to eat before!  Sure, the temptation is there to try that ONE bite of muffin or cookie, but when I STOP and THINK, I just can't imagine putting myself though that!  That's the one thing I've learned so far....If I REALLY want something to eat, I walk away for 2 minutes and REALLY think about it's nutritional value and what good it would do for my body.  If I can't find a good reason to eat it, then I DON'T!!  That easy!  Hope it stays that way!!!!!   Still a good video to watch though....my daughter and DH watched it with me!  Their comments were the same: "Why would someone do that to themselves? and  You'll be careful, right?"  Glad they watched it with me!  Thanks for sharing Cheryl!   honks! well, I agree and disagree, hehe, I think your right when you say what you said about why would you do that, but being human and making mistakes and loosing it for that moment, I can see it happending, very easily actually.  I know I have lost it, am loosing it and probably will continue to loose it.  I wish I didn't  but I do.  I can't speak for anyone, especially not her (someone I don't know) but that is just me....

Oh Cheryl!  I'm definitely not saying I'm never gonna make mistakes and eat something I shouldn't!  I know, one day, I will!  I hope I have the willpower to NOT eat 4 Oreo's, but I know it COULD happen!  I am human, just like everyone else!  But seing that video just made me really stop and think some more......would I really want to go through that?   (Not on purpose, that's for sure!!!!!!)  Just my opinion..........Ruth

omg yes, it really put a picture to the face, seeing what really happends.  it must of been a brain fart, I can't see anyone doing that on purpose. just knowing it was goinna happen would be enought to stop me, now trying a piece of bread or pasta, well that is different, but 4 cookies????

Actually, I got scared this morning....I went to Church and had Communion for the first time since surgery!  All I kept thinking was "is this going to get stuck?  Will it make me sick? OMG, what have I done?"  Luckily, I said my prayers and they were answered.....I let the host dissolve and did ok.  Felt a little bit of fullness on the way home, but it's gone now...PHEW!  But after watching that video last night, I was kinda freaked out!
