Tried Something new
Since having surgery I have been unable to have red meat ~ I miss it soooo much! Yesterday I went out to lunch with a friend at a local family run diner. I read some information on bison meat that was on the table. It stated how much easier it is to digest because it's so lean and the nutritional information looked great with 150 calories, 2 g fat, no carbs and 22g of protein. So, I bought some. Hubby cooked it for me for dinner and it tasted WONDERFUL. But...my pouch is now burning and I've been belching like a trucker since dinner. I'm sticking to the turkey burgers and veggie burgers!!! I've yet to try venison but after this I don't think it will be worth it.
Stephanie, sorry it wasn't successful, how about beef burgers? or meatballs, is that a no no also? well, have a good week, I've got a crazy week, they start back up on my addition on Thurs. fixing all the issues with it and finally finishing it up. well almost all, will have to wait to get the painting done and the floor done,
thank you both...I don't think red meat is in my diet anymore! I will adjust. Tonight I had a veggie burger (flame grilled) and it was very good. I guess just knowing it isn't real meat makes me not fully enjoy it. But, it was good and I will continue with those.

Drinking my water now and going to have some ice cream for snack before going to bed. As of right now I've only had 589 calories. YIKES that is really low. Will be adding more protein powder to make more calories tonight.
