Why am I so itchy???

My skin itches everywhere!! It is driving me crazy. I am on my 3rd pain med and the benedryl makes me so groggy. Any one else have this problem

You can try liquid tylenol. Untill you go off those pain meds you will probably itch you are allergic to them. I was off pain meds 3 days after surgery because i itched so bad and went to liquid tylenol hope this helps

I had the same prob. took liq. tylonol, but it has sugar???? be careful if you had RNY...good luck, if your not in pain too bad, take it just at bed time if you have to.... Dr. Cheryl (haha)

Healing makes you wicked itchy It hit me about a week out though but everyone heals differently. I would also make sure it is not meds causing it though.

i had the itchies terribly. i think it was a reaction to the pain meds. once i stopped them i was ok. also, sip sip sip. it also helps to stay hydrated. watch out for liquid tylenol as it has sugar. i took benadryl strips and that seemed to help a bit but i also got groggy. it will get better soon. hang in there.

i should also add, it took a couple of days for the meds to get out of my system. so give yourself a few days after you stop the meds to get relief.
