Oh my goodness I'm so sick of the protein shakes I think I need help.  Just mixing them up makes me gag.  What should I do?  I'm in the stage 2 of the phases and ate too fast yesterday and knew it the moment it hit my pouch.  What do you think I should do.  I'm getting in my  liquids just not the protein.  I'm kinda scared to try the protein bullets afraid that I won't like the things. Is there something else.  Maybe the ground up chicken, tuna?  I also think I'm a bit depressed which I'm sure that comes from the surgery like why did I do that to myself? I should of been able to do this on my own?  Oh my........ The good news is that I've lost a total of 20 pound since surgery.  I'm happy about that.  I also think its being home alone.  I think I need to get my butt outside and walking that may put me in a better place.  Any suggestions on the protein will be greatly appreciate.  Love the website and all of you for being here.

try mixing the protein shakes up like chocolate mix with cherry extract. i also made pudding and used protein powder in it.

the depression is normal. we carry a lot of hormones in our fat cells and as they disappear it throws us out of whack.

it is a good idea to get some sunshine. it will make you feel better and it also has vit. d in it.

you can also get protein from milk alone. takes more drinking but you can do it. i remember being crazy at this stage. i think i snuck a scrambled egg. just go slow and chew really good. you'll be glad you did this in a couple more weeks.

I do smoothies. I use yogurt and milk with protein powder it is better than reg protein drink Oh put it in blender with ice too. Sometimes I will brew mint tea have my protein all mixed up in blender and add the tea its like mint chocolate ice cream.. Just try different things with them I so know what you mean about getting sick of them.

My favorite protein shake is 1 cup ice, 3/4 cup skim milk, 1 scoop allthewhey chocolate mint protein powder, 1 tbs PB2 powdered peanut butter, 1 packet of splenda and a splash of vanilla. Whirl it around in a magic bullet and it's a terrific chocolate mint peanut butter drink. I also make them with vanilla protein powder and add a little extra PB2 and it's really good that way too. If you don't have PB2 i'm sure you could use regular peanut butter instead.   Don't worry it gets so much easier the farther out you are.  Cheryl

Hi!  I use the protein bullets sometimes...but I have to add about 3 ounces of water and bunches of ice to them to make them go down!  The unjury chicken soup flavor is good!  I'm still drinking alot of chocolate (Unjury or 100% Whey from GNC) and mixing them with non-fat milk.  They DO get old after a while!  It gets better once you can add the eggs/purees though!  It won't be long!  hang in there!  Ruth

If you have any whey you can add that to diet hot chocolate and you don't even taste it.  They key is to mix a scoop with a tiny bit of water and then add it to the hot chocolate.  It doesn't nuke good at all.  I also added a scoop to pudding and couldn't taste it.  It makes the pudding thinner than it is in the container.

I put my bullets in jello ~ use the bullet as part of the cold water when making it.  Makes 4 1/2 cup servings which I usually have 2 a day but you could have all 4 easily.  Have you been to Eggface's website?  theworldaccordingtoeggface.com she has a lot of really good shake recipes and more recipes according to stage.  Love her site!!! Have you tried the Slim Fast Low Carb Diet shakes?  They are very good but only come in Vanilla or Chocolate.  I mixed in orange crystal light with the vanilla to make a creamsicle and a table spoon of peanut butter with the chocolate to make a peanut butter cup flavor.   I use ON Whey Protein from GNC that is plain and it mixes very nicely with just about anything.  I use it in my coffee, hot cocoa, soups, yogurt, etc... Body Fortress from Wal-Mart in vanilla is great in milk!! Good luck.
