Well to tell you about the title I typed this all out last night and somehow it disappeared on me and I didn't feel like typing it all back out then so here I am now...Yes I am home, thank god.  I want to thank all who asked about me or sent wishes and those who sent cards, they were very much appreciated and made me smile!  As you all know I went in because of a blood clot on my lung, near the biggest artery to the heart from what they say.  So I had to be in there to thin my blood out to prevent other blood clots, apparently thinning the blood doesn't get rid of the one you already have.  I went in Tuesday because I was spitting up blood and had rib and shoulder pain.  They did a chest xray, blood work and then a catscan, and the catscan showed the blood clot and so they admitted me.  I had to be in there from Tuesday til yesterday mostly just to get my INR which I can't remember what it stands for, up to a certain level, another words thing enough I believe.  Also just before going in there I had started my "friend" or monthly as most say, so that was aggrivating and then I had developed a sore on the inside of my right thigh, which turned out to be an abcess, the surgeon said a pimple that turned into an abcess.  So I had to have that lanced and drained, but before they lanced it, it popped and there was blood everywhere, pooling around my feet in the bathroom etc, I was so scared because of bleeding with being on a blood thinner...but everything worked out good and they ended up lancing it and it felt a lot better, but I also needed an antibiotic, which I guess can work against the blood thinner.  The antibiotic they had wanted to use I couldn't because its one I am allergic too...go figure right.  Also while there they noticed my potassium/magnesium was low, so every few hours I had to take 4 potassium pills, then 2-3 times a day I had to have blood taken to check my blood levels for the blood thinner, plus 3-4 times a day finger pokes for my blood sugar.  It sounds like fun huh?  The funny thing is when I went in I was and had been feeling better except the short of breathe thing, but I had just attributed that to spending a month in bed and getting my strength back.  So I didn't feel awful in there except pain of the abcess, but now I come home with a cold.  I swear everytime I go near a hospital I end up sick.  But anyway sorry I am rambling on just wanted to let you know how I am doing.  OH yeah and I had and still have alot of water weight cause I had gained 10+ lbs but knew it wasn't food when I had only been eating a week and a half when I was admitted.  I am doing better with eating but hate all the gas I get but oh well better then nausea.  Take care all and you all seem to be doing wonderfully, thanks for the support...Angela
