Oct 10, 2007 DH and I attended our 1st informational session and support group at EMMC. 1 year later (less 4 days) I had surgery. As much as I say I was anxious and wanted things done quickly, for me it was the best thing to have this year. To learn, to eat healthier, to wrap my head around this surgery, to meet you here and learn more.
I am truely thankful for my program, Dr. Toder and my new pouch.  Thank you, everyone.

Wow  Emily   I am glad you are home and  doing so well!!!!

Yes   it   is a rush   wrapping our  head around this surgery.

It took me    six months  before  I had mine  and  it  was a good six month.  It sure seemed longer at times.

Have a great day !!!!!

It is a journey for sure, with many ups and downs -but overall it's all good. Take care of yourself.

I truly believe that it should take at least 6 months, there is so much to learn and understand, it is a HUGE life changing surgery. I really believe you should take the time to research and learn all you can about all the different types of WLS. I started this journey last Jan and my appointment with the surgeon is scheduled on Jan 5th. I do have all my pre surgery requirements finished and have lost 50 lbs waiting through all these appts.  I was told that if all goes well at the jan 5 appt surgery will be scheduled and that is about 1 month out.
I to do alot of lurking and have learned so much from all of you, for that I would like to thank you all. I do not do alot of posting, but I try to read it all. I work at a computer all day so when I get home I like to do anything other than that for a while, I try to say something once in a while
Thanks All
