Hello everyone! My name is Ella and I just recently moved up to the Bangor area. I've been wanting to go for gastric bypass for years now and never had the courage to do it, until now. I went to my first support group on the 7th. I have 3 letters of medical necessity to send to my insurance company. My first orientation is scheduled on October 21st. I'm so new at this I don't know what is the next step for me. I'm looking for someone who can guide me through the process and a little support since I'm not getting any at home or from my friends. I hope to get to know some many of you and hear some wonderful success stories about your surgery.

Hi Ella- I was the lady fashionably dressed in hospital gown and robe at support group sporting the wheelchair and IV pole.
Dang- another OH person I could have met at Tuesday's meeting. But by the time  DH wheeled me out I was spent for the night .
He's scheduled for surgery on Dec 1, so We will be up in Bangor to do this again with him.

This group is wonderful, there are many of us in process with the EMMC program. Just ask questions one of us can answer or steer you in the right direction
