Making progress

I gave up with the pain medication and went without as of yesterday AM. Today was much betterI did get the surgeon's permission to resume my high strenght tylenol and a vicodan at bedtime. I'm a happy camper!   that Oxycodone was awful- made me a zombie.

Got dressed and decided to have a normal person day. Enough of this playing patient and living in my pj's. I walked the 1/2 block from my house to Main street and ran some errands. It was lovely to be out in the sunshine and fresh air. Stayed upright for 4 hours, took an hour nap.

Went out with DH and young child to burger king- got snippy with the counter help- had to promise DH i'll try to behave myself in public (WHERE DID THAT COME FROM??? darn- All I wanted was a milk for my protein lunch along with the other's 2 meals and they couldn't get it right!!!), proceeded to Walmart walked around, bought supplies and stopped by the glass studio to drop off something and show my friend I really am fine- she's been worried. Upright for about 4 hours, 1 hour nap. I've been home and awake since 5PM.

Life is good

Sounds like you are doing really well!  Congrats!

The snippy part.......remember that your hormones are being released from where they were stored in your fat cells...be prepared for more "snippyness".  Also, keep an eye on your blood sugar (if you've ever had issues with it) as when mine gets low...I get REALLY snippy!  YIKES!

Keep us posted and keep up the great job!!!!!!!!!

Glad things are going so well for you. You will find that for many of us the hormones do take over, although mine didn't get out of control until about a month out of surgery. I'm sure you've read it before - but I called this period of time my Linda Blair impersonation from the "Exorcist".

Haven't we had some very nice weather this week?
