I can't imagine taking all that stuff!  YIKES!   I take 2 multivits, iron, zinc, biotin, and colace.  2-3x/week I'll take some calcium!!   All my labs are fine except for the iron (I was anemic pre-op too)   That sounds like expensive urine to me too!  WOW!

It is totally an individual level. Some people are not lucky enough to have a surgeon that does such wonderful follow up so they just overload on what they think they may be lacking. If your taking what the Dr says and levels are good no need to add all the extras.

holy crap. who can afford that? i take a multi vitamin, b complex and zinc in the am and at bed time i take another multi vitamin, fish oil and previcid. i have a physical tomorrow and i'll have my bloodwork done again to see how my vit. d, iron, etc. is doing. i think our vitamin regimin is based individually. i know others that take more than i do.

Wow that is alot.  Hmm let's see, I take:
Building
Blocks multi in am and pm
2 Calcium in am and pm
1 antioxidant in am and pm
just finished iron in am, not anemic
just finished B 12 not needed.
but added
magnesium  once a day and
have to get Vit D at pharmacy as my levels of these two thingswere low at 6 mo

It was magic when she realized who she had become...
