There's not much you can do...at least that is what I've found out.  Are you suppose to thin out your yogurt to a milkshake consistancy.  I had to do that for about a week or two...same with pudding.  It will pass eventually but it's uncomfortable until then.

I don't know if its the same thing, I have a band, but drinking water can make it worse.  I've been told to try a heating pad on my chest??? but as I said RNY is much different.

Doctor's offices are different but my nut wanted us to thin out yogurt and pudding the first week or so after surgery.....It might help prevent it  next time from sticking if that's what you think it is.  Water doesn't help me, it makes it worse....end up vomitting.

hi    Jennifer

someone at   support group  said something about  burping your self  by  patting on the chest.

Cant hurt

Make sure you chew those  chewables  real good and if   it doesnt go away  please call the surgeons office  especially if the water doesnot help it to move

have a great day.

Ugh.....been there....still do that sometimes. For me - I have found it helps to walk around when it happens.

And.....I don't recall Toder's program asking us to thin the yogurt.

Hopefully by now it is over and this will give you something to try next time.
