1000 min. challenge

I went to the Y last night. I ran 4 laps in a row which is a half mile! OMG! I'm so proud of myself. Now if I could do the whole mile I'd reach my goal! I eneded up doing 2 and a half miles plus I did 2 rounds on the curves stuff. I did 15 reps on each machine and then ended with a lot of stretching. I did 60 minutes so that puts me at 160 minutes for the month. I feel great today too. Not sore at all.

that is great Lisa, OMG, I'd love to do that.  I'm just doing 20mins on my gazelle today, my back is killing me, but need to do 30 min. tomorrow and 30 on Thurs and I'll have done my 250 for the week.  keep up the great work, maybe a 5 k is in your future. wouldn't that be fun for us all to do it together, some walk, some run??? talk about a goal?

I was thinking 5k too. We'll see how I'm doing by summer. I'm sure tomorrow's workout will be cleaning up snow!

congradulations lisa glad to hear you are reaching ur goal..you will get to the 1 mile soon.. Not being sore means your doing the right thing..

I was happy with myself to do the wii for an hour for the last 2 days.. I did the running and wow i was out of wind come the end but i did it..maybe it will take care of some of this exta i need to get off. I have found some muscles I havent used in awhile

Congrats Lisa!  Sounds like you are doing awesome!  Keep on training and you'll be doing that 5k come spring time!  Doesn't it feel great!?!?!?!

I'm hoping to do a 5k early in the spring........as long as I can stay motivated!  ha...that's the tough part!!!!!!!!!

hey SUmmer, why don' t you organize a WLS 5 K walk, you have the perfect connections to get the word out, we could get people from all over maine, friends family, get some water donated, we could think of a place to donate what we raise, maybe something for kids or any good cause, SPCA?

i'd probably walk part of it. running is hard and with all my skin flopping around it makes it harder. i'll be damned if my skin will stop me from achieving my goal. i'm already looking into plastics. i have to be at least 18 months out from surgery and maintain my weight for 6 months. i've already maintained for 6 months now i have to wait the total of 18 months and documents rashes. i'm sure this summer i'll get some. i hate the idea of wearing spanx. how sexy is that to undress in front of someone all sexy and they see a gurdle!!!??? Oh yeah baby I want some of that!
