I just got home from EMMC. I had my surgery on Monday with Dr. Toder. I had laproscopic by-pass. I am ready to work on the recovery process now! I am pretty sore and have a lot of gas pain. I am happy it is finally over with!

Congrats!!!!!!!  Welcome home and Welcome to the loser's bench!  It's a great place!
Just remember to keep sip, sip, sipping and walking!  The gas will get better the more you are able to move around........but rest when you need to!
Keep us posted on your progress!

Glad to hear you are doing well.  I go in March 12th with Dr. Toder.  Any advice on the hospital stay?  Anything you wish you had brought?  How many nights did you stay?  Tracy

Hi Tracy, my name is Tracie too! I stayed in the hospitol for 2 nights. I went in for my surgery at 11:15 on Monday and I was home by noon on Wednesday. As far as what to bring to the hospitol, less is better. You don't really need anything but maybe some comfortable pj's or a nightgown. I know I was happy to put my own nightgown on when I got into my room. I didn't read or listen to music, I didn't even turn the tv on. I just rested and walked. The staff is wonderful and they will do whatever they can to make you comfortable. Good luck to you!
