First Protein Powder "meal"

Okay, so today I didn't plan my meals well and I thought that I really can't go out to lunch (because I did yesterday and only allow once per week) so I decided to pretend I had already had surgery and got in my "stash."

So this was my first experience with protein powder ( I stashed some for just such an emergency, and it IS an emergency).  I had a light yogurt in the fridge so I mixed it with that. It was okay.  But I don't know how you stretch that meal to 30 minutes.  Wow, I think I'll have to take Mainegal's advice and get a kitchen timer.  I think it took me all of 4 minutes to eat it all.. LOL

Pratice, pratice, pratice I guess.

It DOES get easier to eat slowly after surgery mostly because you CAN'T eat too quickly....your pouch will talk to you for sure!!  Just practice putting your spoon/fork down between each bite. With yogurt/slider foods, it's really easy to eat too quickly.  Like I said though.........your pouch will RULE after surgery........

Now, I am to the point that I don't eat as slowly as I SHOULD!  I NEED to keep working on that!

Don't worry.....just keep practicing!

Yep Ruth said it all...right now you still have a normal size stomach.  After surgery you won't be able to drink or eat that quickly.  Your pouch does rule which is cool with me because I didn't do so well when I was in charge!
