WOW moment

My DS had me up at 5 am...ugh.  So instead of lying in bed I decided to be productive.  I went into our storage closest and hunted down those bags of clothes I had outgrown (the wrong way)..and I tried them on.  I have a whole new wardrobe..and am maybe 5 lbs away from wearing some pants that I absolutely love!!  I had tried shopping yesterday for just something new to perk me up....NO SUCCESS so this was a great thing!  After I worked out for 30 minutes on the total gym and feel awesome.  I can't imagine how much energy I will have 50 lbs from now...100 lbs from now.  It is baffling but motivating all at the same time.

It's fun huh....my first shopping trip after my surgery wasn't until a month after surgery I had dropped 2 sizes by then.  My advice is buy as little as possible and skip sizes if you can!

I know just what you're saying. I saved lots of clothing as I changed sizes over the years (dieting, gain, dieting, gain).

After surgery I have missed some sizes on the way down. I just passed by them without trying on the olds clothes.

Goodwill, and the consignment shops are my favorite places to shop now. You can get some wonderful clothes, hardly worn for much less than brand new.

The energy level and stamina are amazing. I have terrible osteoarthritis in both knees. After loosing my weight my knees are much happier and I rarely take tylenol or pain meds now, or wear my knee brace.

I am headed to Goodwill this week.  I've got some 18/20's and then HAVE to go shopping.  I haven't been below an 18 for 15 years.

I have a tracking disorder in one knee and have noticed that with just the 11 lbs and using the total gym it isn't as bad..WOOHOOOO!!!

Goodwill has a discount card you can purchase for $10 a year. It gives you 10% of anything and 25% on your birthday.
It can be worth it if you shop there regularly.

Lisa, did you already have surgery or are you just doing this all on your own? That is great to have "new" clothes.
