Feeling sick after Vitamins

I take my vitamins every morning and every morning shortly after I take my vitamins I get really nauseous! I hate the feeling but I deal with it because I need my vitamins. I take it with a small amount of food but I am still nauseous. I have phenergan (sp) and I take that but it doesn't help. I am wondering if there is a "magic" food that will help with the sick feeling. It is a very bad feeling and I know I can't stop taking my vitamins (I wouldn't do that anyway). I just want to be a ease when I take my meds!

Are you taking chewables or solid pills?

DH had similar feelings when to took the regular multi-vits. The P.A. suggested trying the chewables again. He's back to taking the chewables and feels fine.

I take the reg. multi-vits along with all my other vits and pills 1st thing in the morning and have no effects.

This just goes to show that all RNY'ers react differently.

My multi-vites are chewables, but my Calcium and D are regular.

I'm afraid I'm of no real help to you here today!

Sorry you are having such a tough time of it with the vitamins Jeanine! Have you contacted EMMC? I wonder if they might have some suggestions for you! Hope things get better soon!

I am doing a little better. I still haven't found out why my tummy doesn't like my vites! I can take all the other pills I need. I am lost but I am thinking about taking my vites at bedtime that way I can still have them and not feel as nauseous!

Jeanine-  I haven't had my surgery yet but I'm having trouble with the chewables.  I've switched to taking it after the meal rather than before the meal.  That seems to help a bit.

I used to take my multivitamin at bedtime when I took it in pill form.

I've seen "gummy" multi-vites...I wonder how you might tolerate those?
