I haven't been around much lately and just noticed this post.

I had a DS with Dr. Kemmeter and I can not say enough good things about him and the staff at GHP. I'm currently in the Ann Arbor area, however I am moving west of Jackson in a few weeks. I'm hoping I will be able to attend some meetings after the move since I will be an hour closer to GHP than I am now.

Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is.

Take a deep breath! Just Breath! It's going to be OK.
The docs need to know you inside and out so that they do the best for you that's all. If something is not right then they will guide you in the right direction to get it in order so you are safe during surgery!

Topic: PATs tomorrow morning..

So, my PATs are in the morning 1/10/12.. I am as nervous as a high school kid waiting to take my ACTs. I am so worried that we will find something that will postpone, or even cancel, the surgery. But, hey.. this is why we do this. To make sure I am healthy enough to make it through the surgery and the hospital has everything they need to take care of me. Right? LoL, this is what I am telling myself so I can get at least a bit of sleep tonight. I am so darned excited!

Thanks! I scheduled a consult with him for this Wednesday. :) I had found others recommending him on different forums as well so now I feel even better about meeting with him.

tomorrow im meeting with dr Taylor to ask him to preform a drink thingy and a EDG so that we can see why im gaining all this weight , any advice ???? he wants to band me as well, NO WAY!!!!! help me .............

I used Dr DiNick for my TT and my breasts, and both turned out fabulous.

He has his office in Novi (where he does procedures) and also works out of the Barix facility in Ypsilanti.

HW-218/SW-208/CW-126/ Lowest Weight-121/Goal-125 - hit 8/23/09/Height-5'3"

Regain 30 lbs from 2012 to 2016 - got back on track and lost it. Took 8 months.
90+/- pounds lost BMI - 24 or so
Starting BMI between 35 and 40ish?

I like weightmasters from Walmart it is not expensive and good quality. Also your taste will change after surgery so try to purchase small quantities for awhile so you don't get stuck with a bunch you cant tolerate.

Hello and congrats! I had to post because my surgery is 1/23/12 also!! It's going to be a great day :)

I'm having the sleeve gastrectomy and also have tons of support in family and friends, as well as a fabulous surgeon and hospital. Can't wait to see you on the loser's bench!

I really like Syntrax Carribean Cooler. This has a fairly strong coconut taste, so if you don't like coconut...stay away! Syntrax also makes Matrix which have some good flavors--Cookie & Cream, Banana's & Cream, Perfect Chocolate. Both kinds can be purchased on Amazon. In a pinch I get the Syntrax from Vitamin Shoppe (locally).

There are bariatric websites that sell samples and that's the way I tried them out. Here's one, but if you google Protein powder samples you'll find others.

I believe there are personal reviews of some of the brands here on OH, but, I'm not sure where!
