Glad I am only one not eating to fast. I have my daughter who is special needs, now older but believe me 22 years of shoveling in my food, She would eat a few bite and off and I always needed to follow. So trained myself for 22 years, to shovel. And hard habit to try and slow down. I know if I am not really thinking about. I will eat something like cheese stick and down it in 4/5 bites and then have this big pain. I figure time to get this board moving. lol Figure even if everyday dribble , laughing someone will read and listen.

Thanks Ronda, Just knowing someone took the time to read what I wrote and respond to it has made me feel better. PCP's office called about 4pm and want me to come in tomorrow to sign another release-seems know one can find the one I filled out 10 days ago !! They said as soon as I did that they would fax everything over to my surgeon.

I honestly do not have many issues with food coming back up. I make sure I chew everything really good, but sometimes I do eat too fast and I feel a tightness. Sometimes I get hiccups if I eat too fast as well. As far as volume. I measure everything and write everything down. These are the portion sizes I am able to eat for an average day. I never push my sleeve. I listen and if I need to, I stop before I finish what is on my plate, but I do not eat more that that. The couple times I have ate one too many bites, I feel like I have heartburn and it is so not worth the pain.

I do like omelettes with ham and cheese. Tonight we are having a roast with carrots and mushrooms. But I love the pizza idea! That is the one food that I do really miss and craze still. I find that the less carbs I eat, the less I craze sugar. But pizza cravings have never gone away for some reason. I did think about using the low fat cresent rolls as dough, but have to look for the low carb. tortilla shells and see what I think of them. Before I got laid off, chili was the main meal I would cook up in a large pot on Sunday's and freeze up for lunch's at work. It was easy and convient to just pop them in the microwave.

There was a sign posted in the GHP store about Monday night support groups, just last week when I was in. Perhaps I will call and make sure. I think it was 5 - 6 pm. But I will double check before I try and attend one.

Hi AdeanaMarie,
I don't know of any Monday Night support groups? I know the DS surgery patients used to have a group that met on Monday's, but they have cancelled that group, much to my dismay! I was never a part of it but would have liked to have been, especially now after surgery.
Looks like you and I have close to the same starting weight and end goal! I wish you the best of luck on your journey!

I had Dr. Baker. I have been super pleased with him, the office staff and my entire journey through them. Glad to have found them and that they are so local for me as well, for follow up. I am thinking about going to the Monday night support groups. Does anyone else go?

Hi, I am from Cedar Springs, but work in GR. As said before Grand Health Partners is a good resource for the vitamins and food as well.
