? for the women
Mine was so bad after surgery that almost 2 1/2 years I think I only went one month total of not bleeding so I went and took care of it, yep a Hysterectomy best thing ever! You might not be ready for that and I didn't think I was to but man it's been 4 months and it's GREAT! Think about it if your done or not having children. About the periods at the very end I was going to super HUGE tampons and HUGE pads (depends) and I'm only 37 and I was wearing a diaper. This is so much better. ((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) I so know what you are going through.
Mine weren't ok then got worse, mine just suddenly got worse and LONGER!! Right now I am on day 11 and still going. I cry and cry and cry now before, think I am dying, bloated, weight gain, crabby, emotional, even cried at work this time around - kind of freaked the guys out - LOL! I hate this, it's so painful and miserable. I'm hoping they will settle down once my weight loss does.
Good luck to you...

Dear Lord, I dont have any suggestions......I wish I did, i guess I may have a lot to look forward too. Birth control and talking to your doc. is the best I guess. I am not on BC because the hubby cant have children, so I am wondering what to do. I am 42, if they get too bad and too long, maybe I can talk the doc into a partial hystorectomy.
Good luck toots! I hope they get better for ya! :)
I'm right there with you. Terrible stuff! And having 3 teen aged girls on the same cycle as I am - let's just say the guys leave for a week every month. Even though I don't need birth control for preventing pregnancy, I'm thinking about it to shorten and lighten my monthly visitor. Can you take the pills that give you your period every 3 months?
My mom is in her late 50's, has her tubes tied, is a widow (and doesn't date), and hasn't hit menopause yet. She went on the pill because her monthly visitor was so sporadic. Just adding that for the laugh. So see what I have to look forward to?
Good Luck! Just know you aren't alone. Yeah, as if that make you feel better, huh? :)

Hi Alayna, a year ago I was having very heavy constant gushing and ended up having a hysterotomy (sp) in the gyno office. Ended up being 'just' two fibroids and a polyp. Then had to go to a specialist for (don't recall what it was called) and was truly hoping things would be serious enough to warrant vaginal hysterectomy for my never-used useless uterus. End result: last April I also had the Mirena IUD inserted (which typically don't stay in with women like myself who haven't given birth(never wanted to). Had minimal spotting for a couple weeks, and it's like having had a vaginal hysterectomy! No side effects, no PMS (Putting up with Men's Sh*t_ and feeling fantabulous with absolutely no bleeding! Best wishes as you proceed--BTW you look amazing! Don't let your body betray you feeling great and proud of your WLS progress in motion! Hugs galore, Patti-tat-too!
Never let your memories be greater than your dreams.

I am so sorry that you are going through all of this. I had a couple of realy bad ones and stoppted taking my birth control because of head aches and because it was so painful and heavey and since I stopped the pill its been much better I did see the doc yesterday because even though I would like to have a baby I know that i need to wait for a year so I decied with her that the ring would be the best I would talk to your doctor to see what they can do for you as far as the pain and everthing I wish you the best
