Does anyone know if water sits in your pouch or if it flows right through?  It is really just a curiosity because I think of strange things.   So...any biology/anatomy/physiology majors out there?????????????????   Teacher

I'm no professional but I can feel when I have taken a drink and it feels full and then slowly fades SO MY GUESS would be that it sits for a sec and goes thru.  Food on the other hand takes longer.  Thus the reason they say to wait that 1/2 hour before taking a drink or it will wash the food thru. just my guess.....hmmm, good question!

I agree with Sandie.  I can almost feel the water leaving my pouch, but food keeps me full a lot longer.

I too think it sits just for a bit and then runs through.  That is why we are not to drink fluids for an hour after eating, so the food will not wash through with the water and we will be "full" longer. Shelley
