Day 3.....Report in!!!

How's it going???  Ready for pureed? Follow the day 3 rules!!  Woot Woot!! Last night was the first real hard for me!  I soooooo wanted to eat supper with my family.  Phew!  Now I can eat soups, pureed, and tomorrow is day4 with Soft Proteins!!  Although a part of me wishes just to stay on this protein shake thing for a bit longer!!!   Hang in there!  Almost there!!  And for those of you who made it this far BE PROUD!!!!!  Better then not have done it at all!!   Love and Hugs!!!

Wow! This is the first time I've actually gotten past the first half-day of the 5DPT and it's unreal!  Got so FULL just having a poached egg and cheddar cheese for breakfast.  Am near the end of my first 32 oz (s/f flavored) water, and feeling totally satiated hours later. For lunch I will be making a small baked tilapia filet. This is the third consecutive day I've felt no hunger, and it's been way too long since feeling this  'forget to eat' phase!  To anyone who is (re)trying this at another time, do not be hard on yourself for not honestly succeeding.  We're each on this lifetime journey together, and we're each constant works in progress.  I'm feeling so empowered being back in control!  Excuse me as I step away from Chloe (meow), stick my head out the window and  and ROAR!   Whoo hooo!  Hugs galore, Patti

Isn't it AWESOME!!  The return of no hunger and having to REMEMBER to eat!!  Who'da thunk!!!  All the bad habits bye bye and back in control!!!  Woot Woot!

Okay - I suck.  I think I'm going to have to turn this into a 6 day test.  So far today I've only had protein drinks and s/f flavored water (68 oz. so far).  Tomorrow I will do purees.  I promise! lol

Today I had 2 protein drinks and 6 bites of tuna.  I'm still feeling ill, still having pain, still feeling like something is stuck.  I called the surgeon's office and spoke to the nurse 3x today.  She was so sweet and called me back 2x to check on me.  She told me to eat some crackers to try to pu**** down, and to chug the water. I've only been able to drink about 3 bottles of water today (that includes water for the protein drinks).  I will try the crackers later, if the water doesn't relieve it. Hopefully, I'll wake up feeling better tomorrow.  I promised the nurse I'd call her tomorrow and give her an update and if I still can't get in all my water or eat tomorrow, then I have to go in and have them take a look-see. So, I may be doing this again another time....But I am so proud of the rest of you! Debi

Ohhhh, Debi....I see you are not feeling well.  That is too bad.  when did it start?  I hope the water and/or crackers help.  You can do the 5 day pouch test again.  I have done it twice now.  Having good luck with it but I remember the last time, I didn't poop for days!  hahaha  Actually not funny.  I hope that doesn't happen this time. My husband, Bob, is doing this too just to kick his plateau in the butt.  He is doing fine and trying so hard!  I am proud of him.  But he is anxious for some hamburger  tomorrow.  I made hamburgers, SF pudding, SF jello, and soup today while I was home.  That will come in handy. Hope you feel better soon.  Talk to you soon.
