Fun WOW moment...

Tonight we had a pig roast at church and about 200 people showed up.  A group of men put on a rock concert for us.  They sang 1 country song.  I convinced my friend Kimberley to get up and dance with me - I didn't know the electric slide and she proceeded to teach it to me, in front of everyone!  I laughed and each time I messed up, I laughed even harder.  No embarrassment!  No self consciousness.  Just pure fun! I never would have done that prior to WLS.  This is just one more thing that WLS has given me - the confidence to get up and make a fool out of myself and not care what people think!!! I AM NO LONGER INVISIBLE!!

Good for you!!  I think it has to be about you and how you feel now not about what other people think.  That's why I got on a horse, I never would have before and I did it for me. Robyn

Isn't it amazing that there were all these brave people under all the layers of skin?  It still shocks me how losing some weight can change your whole outlook on life!

That is SO awesome! What a blast!

It was Kris!  It's so nice feeling like a "normal" person for once in my life.  I mean, is this how the naturally "normal" feel all the time????  Or maybe not, maybe they don't appreciate the energy and the self esteem like the former MO do.

I'm pretty lousy at it...I kept messing up the turn.  But hey, if you want me to, I'll teach you next time I see you.  Just remember that whatever steps I'm doing wrong, you'll do them wrong too...!!!  But it's so much fun!  I probably won't go Friday...MG is over an hour drive for me and with gas what it is....
