Anyone have Dr Benn or Dr Lauguna at Fairview

Both my Brother and I are waiting for approval for RNY through Fairview Weight Loss Center.  Anyone have any input on surgeons.  Benn, Laguna, or Pierce?  ANY input  would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks! 

I had Dr. Benn and was very impressed with him and the program there.  I understand there has been some staff turnover in the last year or so, but when I was there I was well taken care of.  I was particularly impressed with the nursing staff at the hospital.  They were very gracious and WLS-aware.  I only saw Dr. Pierce once, but he seemed really nice & informed on WLS issues.  Good luck on your journey!

I had Dr. Benn, and I must say that he is the best!!  His office staff rocks and so does the staff at FSH.

I had Dr. Benn as well... He was awesome.. as were all the staff at Fairview

 I had heard Dr Benn was  kind of Gruff and not very personable, but a very good surgeon.

Was he nice?  Easy to talk to?

Dr Pierce was recommended by my OB, part of the reason I chose him and Fairview.  The other piece is I delivered two babies at Fairview and was VERY well cared for both times by the nurses.  I wanted a hospital I trusted and a doctor that came recommended for my RNY.  Good luck, congrats on deciding to have WLS. 

I can only agree with what has all ready been said. I had Dr Lauguna and he was great. He was very help full when I had some stomache problems six month after surgery.

 MNDane, was the problem surgery related?  Hopefully you got it resolved.

Yes, I had a infection of my stomach lining. A few pills took care of it.
