Topic: trying weigh****chers points
I am going to try to do the weigh****chers points.  I didn't sign up for anything or commit to anything like that.  My husband had found this site and has tons of recipes.......I think beings I have gained as much as I did this will help better than doing the pouch test, or liquid diets, and what not.  The more I tell myself no too something the more I want it, with this I will not eat my breads, chips, crackers, rice, noodles, the stuff I shouldn't eat I'm not gonna eat.......

I am alot to blame I bring the **** into the house for my boys, and hubby.  I have heard a few times we can still eat it then I feel guilty and buy it and keep buying it.  Sometimes I feel why bother.......

Getting back to the points system I am really excited about this, first time in a long time I am excited.
I have given up my beer, and decided I need to find something else to make me feel good and happy, and I think finding the new me again is the ticket.

I hope you all have a good week........If anyone wants to do the points system with me let me know.

Marsha

Ok, in the spirit of trying to get back on track, I will post. Maybe seeing it on the screen will kick start this process.

Highest 270

Lowest  143

Current 178 (7 weeks post IVF baby)

I want to do a pouch test and go back to basics from post op diet, but will have to do some research on that and breastfeeding. I am setting my goal weight at 150-155 now.

Thank you both. I think having people who have been through WLS to talk to is a big part of being sucessful with long term weight loss. I appreciate the feedback from both of you. Its a new year and a great time to get back on track and lose the baby weight as well as regain the good habits that got me to my original weight loss sucess.

I like this idea and am somewhat new here. I had a VSG on 9/1/11. Here goes...

Heaviest 210 lbs.
Pre-VSG Journey weight 195 lbs
Last week 154
This week 154

Christmas and New Year's have come and gone and I have stayed the same for the past two weeks. I am ok with that. It's good to have a fresh start in the New Year and to get back to routines, which we lacked over the holidays. Here's to a great 2012~!

Yep, the one meal a day grazing diet is a real killer.....You are not alone there. I am thankful that the holidays are behind us. On to the "today is the first day...." No more of the "Manana Diet" waiting until tomorrow....
Lets do the submarine diet....submerging our weight and going down.

We ended up with seven peeps, and had a good time. Unfortunately some of the posts  were  on FB so MN OH people were not  aware others would show. I had a full weekend so I wasn't sure I would go but in the end did.
So to  next weekend at Eagan. See you then.

I'm with you!  I'm up .8 this week.  Not much, but I'm still in the early losing phase and don't want to screw this up!  I am back to full liquids for this week to purge the carbs from my system and stop the constant hand-to-mouth pattern that's been going on.  Hopefully it'll slap me back into my GOOD habits and produce a nice weightloss as well.  Onederland is still right around the corner.  I was hoping to be there for the new year, but the holidays got the best of me.  I've had my fill and I'm done!

Have a great week, everybody- see you at coffee (finally!) next week!

Okay, for those of you who are newer, or haven't been around for awhile, some of us post our weight, both ups and downs, each week on Monday in order to stay accountable.  You can post your weight or not, as you choose, but it is a good chance to check in with a support group and be honest with yourself about your status.

So here's mine:  I've had a lot of trouble with the holiday sweets.  I've always had a sweet tooth, and it is back with a vengeance.  It's time to get all this stuff out of my house!   I have been pretty consistent in my exercising, so that has helped, but I still freaked out on the scale this morning.  Time to buckle down!!

Starting weight: 298.4 lbs
Last week: 140.7 lbs
This week: 142.0
Gain of 1.3 lbs!  I am now 2 lbs OVER my "freak-out" number!  AAAGH!  (That's me, freaking out.)

Still running and cross-training consistently, but I need to get back to protein first, limit the night-time snacking and permissive "treats."  New year, fresh new start.  Who's with me?

I haven't done the pouch test and I have a sleeve.  But, along the same lines, I am self-imposing my liquids only diet on myself to try and kick the grazing/carb habit I started back up over the holidays.  I'm thinking 5-7 days.  I've been fine so far today- not hungry or desperately craving anything yet...

Keep us posted how it goes for you!  :)
