Topic: Monday Morning Weigh-in--a wake-up call for me!
Good morning!
For me it was not-so-good. I have been eating too much and too poorly for the last week, and it really showed on the scale! What a wake-up call--time to get the scale moving back the other way by getting back to the rules.
Starting weight: 298.4
Last week: 137.3
This week: 140.9
This week: GAIN of 3.6 lbs
It is absolutely my own fault, and so I'm taking ownership. This morning I went out and ran 5 miles (which was in my training plan for today, so it wasn't a direct reaction to the scale). But I need to get a handle on the carbs, I think. They are creeping back into my diet and taking hold.

Hey MNBEAR!!
I am from Park Rapids and Dr. Smith did my VSG in April. He is a wonderful Doc. Actually he had also removed my gallbladder several years ago and just did surgery on my Hubby a couple weeks ago. He is very quiet, but one heck of a surgeon!!
Good luck on your RNY. I am sure everything will go great for you.

I would love love love to get in on a swap meet! I'm pretty sure I have some things to share! I'm in desperate need of Winter clothes! I'm freezing all the time! LOL! I'm taking a size 10 in most everything now, medium shirts, and depending on the item, sometimes a 12 in jeans. I have some 16's and large and extra large tops as well, to share.
Let me know!

Hey Jen - long time, no see!
I think the last actual 'Swapkins' was at Edi and Linda's house over a year ago. PNC hosted a clothing swap at one of the June support group meetings, but I think it would be nice to see something metro-wide again. I've just become too dang busy to do it myself

Hey Cheri -
I think if you called Dorothy, she might be able to fax or mail you some stuff to share with your MD in Paynesville - once a PNC patient, always a PNC patient!
Good to see you post, don't be a stranger!

OK, Swapkins was a chance for everyone to bring all the clothes that no longer fit, and pick up clothes that do. No money changes hands. The goal was to have this once every 3 months or so. Anything left over would go to charity.
Only clean clothes in good condition are welcome.
I can set up something in October if people are interested.
If you're interested, please reply to this post so I know how many folks there are. If we get enough, I'll set it up in the Twin Cities.

Hello Darlings! Long time no post on my part.
Does Swakins still exist? I've got loads of clothes to share and I could use some myself.
