Topic: Apparently you just keep peddling
Maybe our journey IS like riding a bicycle.Once you do it, you remember the  "how to" the next time so reach your destination you just keep peddling.

I rode my bike to coffee on Saturday and at 6 miles each way, it was a good ride to start the day. I had arranged to ride with my brother around his lake which is 12.2 miles long and mostly flat. I figured I could do that.....Instead he called on Saturday afternoon and offered an alternative: the St Paul Classic bike ride. There were several options starting at 7.6 miles. I agreed to go. When I got there he said we should do the full 30 mile course. I went along figuring my sister lived very close to the half way point and I "had options."
I ended up making the FULL 30 miles by just having kept peddling. I am going to try and apply that to my last (or next) 30 pound weight loss goal.  I really struggled on the hills and figure less weight to carry up the hill just makes it that more do-able.....

Two side notes. My brother says it is easier to lose two-five pounds on my body than doing it by buying a lighter bike.

I was at the bike store in anticipation of this trip. When I was making my purchase a person asked "are you Paul?" He recognized my voice, had not recognized me as me standing next to him. Woohoo!!

Hey Julie - It was so good to see you, and I agree with Kim, you are a shadow of your former self. I think you look FANTASTIC! When I rewind the tape to when we met, wow - are we different. I just love talking with you, seeing how everything is going and finding out ways that we can be useful to each other.

Have a great week. I will not be at Eagan coffee, for I will be at a retreat. FUN!  And it's a retreat geared toward people with eating issues, so hopefully I can come home with some useful new tips and ideas.

Thanks for being you,

MM

WOW!  I just realized who you are!  You don't look anything like your avatar anymore.  :)

Glad to met you at coffee and chat yesterday.  So happy to have found the group!

I'm so glad I went to coffee yesterday.  I will try to go more often.  I need the pick me up.  Still struggling to lose these 4 lbs.  I missed you Renae.  Maybe next time.

Topic: Plastic surgeon for belt lipectomy/lower body lift in Twin Cities
Hi All,
I'm looking for a plastic surgeon to consult about getting a belt lipectomy/lower body lift now that I am almost three years out from having a gastric bypass. Does anyone have any experience with the proceedure or have any good information about a potential plastic surgeon that I can use? I live in Duluth but can travel to the Twin Cities or surrounding area if I can find a good surgeon.

Thanks in advance.

Topic: RE: need clothes
I really don't know what size I have, but what I do have I will pop in the car. When clothes ceased to fit anymore, I just put them in bags. Hopefully this weekend, I will have a chance to start cleaning out the closet and magically, more will appear next week. Just have to get organized and motivated.

Love YOU,

MM

Topic: RE: Stalled
Finally home for what feels like the first time in a month. My crews worked 35 of last 37 days recession WHAT? Well summer is over the stall is over and the beat goes on. Forgot how good it feels the day after the gym. Can't wait to be knocking on the doors of the 200's hopefully by my birthday in November...

Thanks for all the words of encouragement!
