There is a letter that should have been mailed to all MA recipients and it can be found here:  https://edocs.dhs.state.mn.us/lfserver/Public/DHS-6394-ENG

Providers were told they are to continue to serve their established MA patients but they can limit or stop taking new patients.  They were also told they might not be paid for services provided after 6/30.  http://www.dhs.state.mn.us/main/idcplg?IdcService=GET_DYNAMI C_CONVERSION&RevisionSelectionMethod=LatestReleased&dDocName =dhs16_162236

I would assume providers will try to schedule MA recipients as far out as possible to allow time for the state to settle on a budget in hopes of being paid for their service but critical care should not be affected.

Topic: Hello again....
I have been away from here for quite some time.  I will be 4 years out on July 26th.  I am coming back here to catch up with some old friends and make some new ones.  Needing to get back to the basics.  I am doing pretty well.  I am up about 20 pounds from my lowest weight and I have started getting back on track with my eating and starting to exercise again.

Hi Marsha,

I totally understand where you are coming from.  I too have gained about 20 pounds from where I feel is a good place for me.  I just went to PNC for my 4 year check up and the bariatric MD told me the same thing that others have said to you.  Keep in mind where you started and also that you have kept of over 100 pounds that you lost.

I am going back to the basics too. I have gotten away from them and I need to get back to what worked from the get-go!  Don't be too hard on yourself.  I am trying to be nicer to myself as well and remember what a great thing I did for me.  You can do it!  Sounds like you have a good start to getting back on the track you want to be on.

I have come back here to get the support and to re-connect with some great OH friends I have lost contact with.   This is the best place to be to find support from people that know where you are coming from!

Topic: RE: Approaching 18 mo post surgery - where is my hair?
I tried to respond last week and I couldn't get a post to post!

I took Biotin for over a year and had no help.
I use the Nioxin and take all of my nutrients etc.  I think Menopause is partly to blame.

At least it doesn't take too long to dry it now!

Thank you for the replies, even if I'm late.

Congrats!  You are on your way to something great.  I only had one day of liquids, so I can't help you there.  I just wanted to wish you the best of luck.

CONGRATULATIONS!

It will be here before you know it.  I am 4 years out now and it is the best time I have ever done for myself.  I had to do 10 days of clear liquids and if I remember right, it was chicken broth, water, tea....anything you could see through.  Each surgeon's program is different so they will let you know for sure what you need to do to get ready for your big day!

Topic: PNC group tonight?
I haven't been to PNC's support group meeting in over a year and want to go today. Anyone know what time it starts? Nurse said 6pm but the website says 5:30. Just curious!

CONGRATS to you........... It will be here before you know it.  I only had to do 1 day of the liquid diet and just had water and broth.  Each surgeon is different as to how many days and what they expect.  Good luck to you.........and keep us posted.
