Doing well here- love being able to be outside doing yard work and gardening and walking. I missed my walks- happy to be doing them again. Clears my head and gives me some much needed solitude!
Things are slowing, but still losing great here.

Thanks for the quote. I spend most of my time on the pregnancy board since hubby and I are trying to have another child. Our son is 61/2 and we finally decided to try to give him a sibling.
I'll try to rememer to check in on this board more often now that I have had a reminder.
Thanks Darla.

NO, many leave the board because they have given up, so I will take your question as being rhetorical. Thanks for the quote, we all need to be mindful of the direction we are heading.
Did you go to MG coffee?

Hi All:
How is summertime treating you? Are you able to get out and sweat some weight off? We have such a short summer, I really try to make the most of it.
My weight has been bouncing around among about 2 lbs, but since I am below my goal, I haven't been too upset. I would like to lose a few more, but I also know I am reshaping my body. I actually tried on some size 6 capris yesterday that fit nicely!! I haven't been a size 6 since I was about 4 years old, LOL!! Since I haven't lost that much weight, I'm assuming I'm redistributing it with my exercise.
Starting weight: 298.4
Last week: 148.0
This week: 147.0
This week: Lost 1 lbs.
Have a nice week, everyone!

Is everyone out there SOOOOO successful that they no longer need the support of this board? (If so, WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WRONG???)
Anyway, just to get you all thinking, I thought I'd share one of my favorite quotes ~
"To get something you've never had, you have to DO something you've never done."
Chew on THAT for a spell, and REPORT BACK!

I'd love to be there however that is a bit far for me...even thou I work close to there during the week...I'm a bit of a home body when I don't have to work.

I as the new person too haven't been there for the past few weeks. I'm planning on being there this time at this point.
Topic: RE: some good advice about requirements threw mn care
I had Health Partners, but not MN Care. Yet your requirements are very similar to what I did two years ago. It took about 6-7 months, but I am thankful for it in retrospect. Much of your challenge will be mental, in the area of changing your relationship with food and your reactions to life's hurdles.
When I did my psychological assessment, I had heard that 3 sessions was typical. I had 6 or seven and I was almost not approved, because I was under a lot of stress at the time, and were not sure I would be a good long term candidate.
And by long term, I mean one that loses the weight and changes their behavior TO ensure they keep it off. Keeping it off is the challenge, the operation is only a tool to help you get there. Ask and 2 or 3 year out individuals and they will tell you about the honeymoon period and then the rest of your life.
I wish you well. Start thinking success right away and start applying RNY procedures prior to surgery. I lost 50 pounds before surgery and I am glad I did. It helped my doctor help me.
I wish you the best. Find a support group, go to meetings and determine to follow your doctors recommendations to the letter.
