I had a good experience and they were pretty thorough, though I did turn to other clinics for support after surgery due to better support groups in other areas. Things change so I am not sure how they are now but I would feel them out and see what you think.

I would if I wasn't pregnant. I always like a nice detox! Good luck!

I just ordered 2-containers of Unjury protein powder and as soon as they arrive I am doing the 5 day pouch test to "detox" myself from the all the nasty carbs, slider food, sugar, alcohol and basically get my pouch back to where it should be...and well, yes, hopefully loose some of my regained pounds over the last few years!!! I have about 30 to lose overall.
I plan to stick to the 5-DPT rules and then modify a bit after to something more like a protein shake for bfast, one for lunch, a healthy snack in afternoon, and a healthy real protein filled dinner. No chocolate milk filled coffee in the a.m.'s; No (2-3)glasses of wine in the evenings; more exercise than usual (which is to exercise in general. HA!); and really concentrate on drinking 64oz's of water each day(I'm horrible at drinking water)!
This should work, right? This "should" help me lose what I want/need by July 15th for my BIL's wedding?!?
...Well I hope so anyways.
Anyone want to help support me and maybe do this 5DPT with me?!

Another spot to start, I have found this to be SO revealing and SO helpful. It is called "Cut the Fat" podcast. You can access it for free on I-tunes or see it on Facebook. We need to change how we view food and this is an Excellent place to start.

Topic: RE: Surgery at Abbott Northwestern next Monday
Thanks for all the info guys. I'm basically counting the hours until its time for surgery. I'm ready for it and can't wait to be post-op.
Topic: RE: Graduation Party weigh-in: any buffets for you?
It really helps to motivate me to have a race on the calendar. Nothing like the threat of total humiliation to get you off your butt to work out.
This triathlon is having that effect on me. I do plan to ride my bike to coffee on Saturday, weather permitting. That's 11-12 miles one way for me, so hopefuly I am up for it. Then my DD and I plan to ride the bike route for her triathlon on Sunday, so she feels more comfortable. Her first triathlon is June 23rd!

Topic: Sent in my forms to Park Nicollet
I attended the required seminar last week at Park Nicollet. Last night I mailed out all of my forms and my two year health history. I am SO scared they are going to call and say I am not a candidate for surgery.
I hope I hear back from them this week to set up my nurse, bariatric, psych and dietician appointments.
Anyone else go through Park Nicollet?

I had mine at Fairview, but wanted to wish you the very best of luck! Take all their advice, tips and rules very seriously and you'll do really well. You are at the start of something great!
