Nope, I did not call Dr Hornebostel. Do you think that they would be any sooner? Its worth a shot, i guess. Although I have no idea how to GET to Sedalia let alone do anything there. LOL

Ok, little update. Just talked to Dr Eagons office again. They are now saying Sept/October 07. Although she said since there is a 650.00 up front cost that the insurance doesnt cover, some people drop out. or find another doctor in the meantime. So I guess I will fill out the papers she is going to send me, get them in, and get my place in line. Then wait and see. After all, whats another year?????

I'm sure Dr. H. would get you in before 07. You can do a search on mapquest.com to see how far his office is from your house. He is a great doctor and I was going to use him but his hospital wouldn't take my insurance so I found a doctor that was just as great. Anyway, call his office.

Robyn , Sedalia is about half way between St. Louis and Kansas City. .Yes Call and speak to Dena. She could tell you if they take MC+ and about where you would be in line. Another year is a long time sometimes. So see what they say. wont hurt to ask. Jan

Robyn, Do call Dr. Hornbostel's office. Sedalia is not that far from you and people come to him from all over the midwest. He's awesome. I can't use him because of my insurance but about 90% of the people on this board have had surgery there or are scheduled up there. If you want go ahead and put your name on the other waiting list but call Dr. Hornbostel and see if they take you ins. Let us know what you find out. We'll be praying for an earlier date for you. Lovely Lana

Robyn, first of all please do not get depressed and discouraged, Trust me on this one..many of us on here have gone through so much...Just let Jesus work his wonders for you...Believe me it he does help....Dr. Hornbostel office could help you and there are alot of alternatives....Also ask Dr.Hornbostels office about the lawyer in Califfornia who helps with insurance cases....Dr. Hornbostel said the lawyer and his wife both did WLS and they fight for you to get it through your insurance companies and they most always win the case and it doesnt take long....That would something for you to look into... The lawyer is Walter Lindstrom and his website is www.obesitylaw.com Its worth it to check out........hope this helps you........Craig Lee

If they won't take MC plus but will take another form of Medicaid, how difficult is it to change? I know my foster daughter, who is 20, got changed very quickly when we requested her to go to straight medicaid. I wouldn't do it, though, unless you know the doctors will take the kind of insurance you are changing to. Good luck.
