Good News from my doctors
Not so good news from the scale however.
Anyway I am in the beginning of this but I had my reg doc appt Thurs and she thinks that I should def have the surgery done and that it would increase my quality of life and she will write a letter stating all the particulars, but that my main hurdle would be to get psychologically cleared from my psychitrist because of my history of depression.
Well I saw psychitrist today ready for a conversation (read as fight) but there was none. He said that He thinks I am stable enough for bariatric surgery and he wrote it on his prescription pad so that I could take that with me to the do****il he knows what letter he needs to write etc. and he gave me topamax so I can better control my weight until surgery.
All I can say is WOOOHOOO!!! Ive been seeing him for 5 years and their clinic (my doctor got promoted so I got a new one) for 10 years. I will go to the required info session on Feb 1 with doctor H and go from there. I know I have a LONG way to go but it feels great to have my docs behind me!!
Oh the scales-YIKES- None of my doc scales go over 350 except my psy. and I got weighed today-I though it was 370 or so well it was 387. Enough said on that.....Good thing I was happy..LOL
Amy,
WOOHOO!!! It is indeed good to have Drs. supporting you. My PCP is an angel and he is still seeing me monthly after surgery for awhile as he's a super-concerned physician. He supported me all the way and really is my encourager. I know what you mean about the scale, but that's why you need this surgery. If you could do it on your own you would have done it ages ago. I'm so happy for you.
