Anyone had plastic surgery?

I have not yet, but I too am very seriously considering it.  I'm almost 4 years post-op and see an abdominoplasty in my not too distant future.    I've been Googling different St Louis plastic surgeons, and even saw that Wash U. has a residency clinic for plastic surgery.   Honestly, I'm not sure yet which route I'll go.  I'll be self-pay, as I don't really have a medical need for it (no rashes or skin break down or anything). All that to say, I too am very interested in others' experience with plastic surgeons in and around the St Louis area, specifically - as that's close to me.   I know Dr. Richardson recommends someone at big St Johns (he gave me his card); but I don't have his card in front of me and I don't remember his name off hand.  P.S.  Sharlene:  can you make the new support group meeting in Sullivan next Saturday at 10 am?   Also, please pass the word along about the support group to anyone else you know that might like to attend. 

I had a circumferencial lower body lift and breast augmentation with Dr Charles Price in Springfield and he's WONDERFUL in my opinion!!! send me a message if you have any specific quesitons. I do not regret ANY of the work I had done but would still like to have a bit more if ever I can do so without a financial hardship. I now don't feel I HAVE to wear undergarments that hold all my extra skin in place.....the skin is GONE! And the boobs are filled back in......I do wish I'd have let him do a lift at teh saem time, but I was wanting to avoid possible nerve damage so I just said "fill them back in!"  I think I will do a lift in the future.

Hi Tamara, I called today and made a consultation appointment at the Dr. that my surgeon recommended.  I would like to have LBL, breast augmentation w/lift and maybe a brachioplasty (if my funds hold out). Can you give me an idea of your costs?  Also, on your LBL, how was your pain and when were you getting around?  I take classes two days a week at the local college and thought I could schedule surgery at semester break.  That would give me about 10 days.  Am I being realistic?  What do you think?  Of course I keep reading ads and they give you the best case and what I want is the truth.  I didn't look at your site yet.  If you don't have before & after pictures on there, any chance that you could send me some.  I just want to make sure that there is enough difference to justify the money.

I too find myself wondering about Doctors in the Joplin Springfield area for PS my arms have to be done soon...sooner than I would want but I got WINGS not only are they unsightly but as I get into smaller sizes the excess is not going to fit into my armholes of my shirts...I go to the Dr. in March and I plan on asking about this...Im sure Im probably jumping the gun as I have so much more weight to loose BUT...be prepared is my motto! thanks for the info about the springfield Dr.....I am very interessted in having surgery done closer to home. nutti
